The now relatively sleepy town of Portballintrae is very close to Bushmills, and you can walk along a purpose-built walkway to the Giant's Causeway.
Or drink, or have small children, you can get the Bushmills to Giant's Causeway train.
The Bayview Hotel is a main feature of the town for food and drink, but with Bushmills such a short distance away, you will have no problem getting everything you need for self-catering
It is where the Bush River meets the sea, and after negotiating the driftwood at its confluence you can take a walk along Runkerry beach.
